Ilia Topuria 2024 Topps Gold Label UFC #8: all three classes and every parallel
#8 is Ilia Topuria's base card in 2024 Topps Gold Label UFC, and it is printed in three classes —Class 1, Class 2 and Class 3—, each with its own photo and its own rainbow. Here they are together: we have catalogued 18 versions, from the base to the Gold 1/1 of each class, with the official odds of every colour. 18 have a photo of the actual copy.
2024 Gold Label UFC #8: three classes with the same number
Ilia Topuria is #8 of the 100 cards in the base set of 2024 Topps Gold Label UFC, and the Gold Label base set is printed in three classes with the same number, which together make a 300-card set, per Checklist Insider, a secondary source. We have not found Topps' official checklist published; the official odds sheet does separate the three classes.
A class is not a parallel: it is another photo. On the front, on the left, a small image of Ilia Topuria in his stance, the same in all three classes; beside it, the large photo that sets each class apart. “Class 1”, “Class 2” or “Class 3” is printed under his name, per the photos of our copies.
Each class has its own ladder of Green, Blue, Red /25, Black /10 and Gold 1/1, with the same design in every colour: within the class, only the finish and, on the numbered ones, the print run change from one parallel to the next.
How often each class falls: per the official sheet, Class 2 falls 1:1 packs and Class 3 1:2; Class 1 has no line of its own and is the one with the easiest parallels.
Red, Black and Gold have the same odds in all three classes; Green and Blue do not: the higher the class, the scarcer they are.
Our list names the base version of each class “Bronze”; the Topps sheet just calls it “Base Cards Class 2” or “Class 3”.
Which box the Gold Label #8 comes from
2024 Gold Label UFC, the brand's UFC debut, came out on December 13, 2024: 7 packs of 5 cards per box, with 2 autographs, 5 parallels and 7 inserts, 8 boxes per case, at $129.99, per Checklist Insider, a secondary source. The official sheet has columns for Value and Mega boxes but leaves them empty: all its odds are Hobby.
What the three ladders share: odds and scarcity
Per-pack odds from the official sheet, for any fighter; print runs from the numbering in our catalogue. What changes from one class to the next is in its own section:
Red /25: 1:88. Black /10: 1:219. Gold 1/1: 1:2,150. All three, the same in every class.
Any fighter's Gold 1/1 falls 1:2,150 packs in each class, about 307 boxes of 7. Ilia Topuria's in particular, once every 215,000 packs, about 30,700 boxes: our estimate, assuming an even spread across the 100 cards of the class. The Golds of all three classes are among Ilia Topuria's 1/1 cards.
The unnumbered cards: on the sheet's proportion (print run times odds comes to about 2,150–2,300 throughout) we estimate the Green and the base of each class; the figure is in its section. These are our estimates.
Class 1 #8: arms spread against the fence
Front: the large photo is Ilia Topuria arms spread against the Octagon fence.
The ladder: Base, no line on the sheet. Green, unnumbered: 1:3. Blue /199: 1:11.
The unnumbered cards: the Class 1 Green would be around 700 copies per fighter; the base has no line and cannot be estimated.
The Blue: /199 on the card, /150 in the guide. Our photographed copy of the Class 1 Blue is numbered /199; Checklist Insider, a secondary source, gives /150. We go with what the card says.
The odds back the /199: on this sheet, print run times odds comes to about 2,150–2,300 (25 × 88, 10 × 219, 1 × 2,150, and the Class 2 and 3 Blues: 99 × 23, 50 × 44); at 1:11, the Class 1 Blue fits about 200 copies, not 150. That check is ours.
Class 2 #8: standing in the Octagon, with the crowd behind
Front: the large photo is Ilia Topuria standing in the Octagon, with the crowd behind.
The middle class, one per pack: Base: 1:1. Green, unnumbered: 1:7. Blue /99: 1:23.
The unnumbered cards: the Class 2 Green would be around 300 copies per fighter and the base about 2,150.
Class 3 #8: in his stance and leaning forward
Front: the large photo is Ilia Topuria in his stance and leaning forward.
The scarcest class, one in every two packs: Base: 1:2. Green, unnumbered: 1:28. Blue /50: 1:44.
The unnumbered cards: the Class 3 Green would be around 80 copies per fighter and the base about 1,100.
How to read this list
It goes by class: Class 1 first, then Class 2 and Class 3, each from the base to the Gold 1/1.
1/1 versions in the list: 3. Still without a photo: 0. Confirmed sales recorded for the three classes: 198.
“No photo” means the piece is on the checklist and we have not yet seen a copy.
Topps publishes odds, not print runs: the print runs come from the numbering on the copies in our catalogue.
