In the modern hobby, Gold /10 is the top tier before the 1/1. The convention was set by 2012-13 Panini Prizm basketball, which launched with just three parallels: Silver, Green and a Gold numbered to ten. Ever since, in Panini brands gold means ten copies, as Basketball Card Insider recalls.
Ten copies, not one. It is the card you can chase without it being unique: ten exist and one surfaces now and then.
The same colour across the brand. Prizm, Select, Donruss, Optic, Chronicles and Immaculate number their Gold to 10, inserts and autographs included.
There are gold variants. Gold Disco, Gold Flash, Gold Laser Holo: each a different finish, all /10.

The 31 cards on this list split between two manufacturers and one ladder of its own:
Panini 2022 and 2023: the bulk. Prizm #115 and #167, Select across its three tiers, Donruss Rated Rookie #215, Optic #110 and Dominators #17, Chronicles and Immaculate.
Topps Royalty 2024 and 2025: the only Topps product that uses Gold /10, in the base set and in its signatures and relics, per the checklist with print runs.
