We have catalogued 12 Ilia Topuria Precious Metal Gems, the PMGs from SkyBox Metal Universe Champions 2023 and 2024. 10 have a photo of the actual copy.
Precious Metal Gems, PMG, is the most famous parallel in SkyBox history. It was born in 1997-98 Metal Universe basketball: each base card had 100 copies on a metallic background, the first ten in green and the remaining ninety in red. That Green /10 and Red /90 set the standard collectors have chased ever since.
Comic-book design. Metal Universe was made by Fleer/SkyBox while Marvel owned the company; hence the metallic etching and illustrated backgrounds, as Sports Illustrated tells it.
Legendary prices. Michael Jordan's PMG Green sold for $350,100 in 2019 and a Red in PSA 5 reached $640,000 in March 2026.
Still alive. Upper Deck, which now owns SkyBox, revived the brand as the multi-sport Metal Universe Champions and kept the PMG name.
Ilia Topuria's PMGs: three cards, four colours
Ilia Topuria has PMGs on all three of his Metal Universe Champions cards, always with the same ladder. Upper Deck's official checklists for 2023-24 and 2024 set it at Red /100, Blue /50, Green /10 and Gold 1/1, randomly inserted in hobby and on e-Pack.
Base #14 (2023): his rookie card in the brand.
Fresh Foundation #FF7 (2023): the newcomers insert.
Stellar Cartography #139 (2024): his only card in the 2024 product.
What is not a PMG
Pink FX /75 and Orange FX /25 are Light FX parallels, not PMGs, even though they share the card and a short run.
There is no PMG Pink, Purple or Black in 2023 or 2024: those colours belong to the 2021 and 2022 editions, before Ilia Topuria arrived.
No colour is e-Pack exclusive: all four come through both routes. What is e-Pack exclusive are the achievements, such as the Printing Plate Booklets.
“No photo” means we have not seen that piece yet. The Green /10 is the tier that named the legend; next to Ilia Topuria's other /10 parallels its rarity makes sense.
