Ilia Topuria 2022 Panini Select UFC Concourse #23: the base card and every parallel
Concourse #23 is Ilia Topuria's card in the entry tier of 2022 Panini Select UFC, from his rookie year, and here it is in every colour: we have catalogued 30 versions of that number, from the Blue to the four black 1/1s. 29 have a photo of the actual copy.
2022 Select UFC Concourse #23: what the card shows
Ilia Topuria is #23 in the Concourse tier, the first of the four hundred-card runs in the base set of 2022 Panini Select UFC, per the Checklist Center checklist, a secondary source. It is a card from his rookie year: it carries the RC logo.
Front: vertical, facing the camera and roaring with clenched fists, in red shorts with the Octagon fence behind him; below, “Featherweight” and his name.
Back: it says Ilia “El Matador” Topuria entered 2022 with an 11-0 pro record, ten wins by finish and two straight knockouts in the UFC, and closes with a quote of his about finishing fights in the Octagon.
The back names the tier: on the back of the Black & Gold 1/1 in our catalogue you can read “Concourse”, “Prizm” and, instead of a serial number, “One of One”.
The #23 ladder, from most to fewest copies
Panini published neither odds nor print runs for 2022 Select UFC. The print runs come from the secondary checklists of Checklist Center and Cardboard Connection, which match the serial numbers on the catalogued copies:
Unnumbered: Blue, Silver, Blue Prizm, Silver Prizm, Orange Flash, Scope, Green & Purple, Disco and Tri-Color.
From /199 to /49: Light Blue /199, Red /99, Red Disco /99, White /75, Blue Disco /49, Neon Green /49 and Teal & Pink /49.
From /25 to /5: Tie-Dye /25; three /10s (Gold, Gold Disco and Gold Flash); Lucky Envelopes /8; Green /5 and Green Disco /5.
Four 1/1s: Black, Black & Gold, Black Disco and Black Flash. They are among Ilia Topuria 1/1 cards.
Which box each family comes from
Hobby: Panini's official sell sheet sets the box at 12 packs of 5 cards, with 2 autographs, 1 memorabilia card and 12 prizm parallels, and makes the Gold and Black prizms Hobby exclusive.
H2: the Disco family (Disco, Red Disco, Blue Disco, Gold Disco, Green Disco and Black Disco) is exclusive to H2 boxes, per Cardboard Connection, a secondary source.
Blaster: Flash, Tiger and Elephant, per a shop's blaster box listing, a secondary source.
The rest (Scope, Tri-Color, Neon Green, Teal & Pink, White, Light Blue…): Panini did not publish which format each one comes from.
Worth knowing
Three /10s with the same number: Gold, Gold Disco and Gold Flash share a print run and each comes from a different box: Gold from Hobby, Gold Disco from H2 and Gold Flash from blaster. The Lucky Envelopes /8, also gold but with triangles, is a different card, from the two-card Lucky Envelopes boxes, according to Panini's official checklist. It is among Ilia Topuria's China-market cards.
Concourse is the plentiful tier: the same colour is worth something else in Octagonside, the short Hobby tier. That tier's ladder is on Ilia Topuria's Octagonside #262.
Rookie year, not the rookie card: the rookie card by release order is explained in Ilia Topuria rookie cards.
