Where his career stood

When this collection came out, in September 2022, Ilia Topuria's record was 12-0, 4-0 in the UFC, and he was not yet a champion. He was coming off a win over Jai Herbert by KO at UFC Fight Night: Volkov vs. Aspinall, on 19 March 2022. His next fight was UFC 282: Blachowicz vs. Ankalaev, against Bryce Mitchell, on 11 December 2022: he won by submission.

What 2022 Panini UFC Debut Edition is

Panini's European collection, not the American one: an album-and-packs collection in the sticker tradition, published in September 2022 in France and the UK, with 5-card packs, 24-pack boxes and a starter album, per Paninimania. 160 cards: 100 fighters, 40 champions and 20 legends. Ilia Topuria is #70.

• Three full-run parallels: Red, Green and Gold, identified by a coloured corner, unnumbered. Per box, on average 6 Red, 3 Green and 1 Gold.
• No autographs or relics anywhere in the collection.

What gets confused

• “Debut Edition” is three things: 2021 Prizm UFC's subtitle, 2022 Donruss UFC's retail branding and this European collection.
• The parallels are unnumbered: the “Gold /10” people quote is from 2021 Prizm's autographs.
• It is not a hobby box: it is a 24-pack box with an album, like stickers.

How to read this page
